Rajveer Deol opens up about Deol family getting their due, says audience considered Sunny Deol's old

In an exclusive conversation, Rajveer Deol revealed that the Deol family has been 'out of sight'.

Sunny Deol's son, Rajveer Deol, is geared up to take the family legacy forward with his acting debut. While recently promoting his film Dono, Rajveer opens up about the consecutive success of the Deols and if the family is getting their due

2023 can be safely called the year of Deols, at least for their millions of fans. The veteran actor Dharmendra left a solid impression on filmgoers with his performance in Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The second generation, Sunny Deol, came with Gadar 2, and it became an all-time blockbuster. Sunny's brother, Bobby Deol, has impressed the masses with his second stint as an actor with Prakash Jha's Aashram. Bobby will soon be seen as the main antagonist in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal.

Before Animal, the third generation of Deols, Karan Deol's brother, Rajveer, will begin his career with Rajshri's Dono. The movie also marks Sooraj Barjatya's son, Anvish Barjatya's directorial debut and Poonam Dhillon's daughter Paloma's acting debut. While promoting the film with DNA, Rajveer revealed that their family did lack relevance and social media presence, but the masses have immense love and respect for his family. "I think in today's age of social media, if you're ain't relevant, then you are out of people's mind. And also, Dad (Sunny) was big in the 80s and the 90s and a little bit in the 2000s. So, (when he came back with Gadar 2) they thought that the old-school formula was dated. But what I truly believe is that people don't know exactly what they want." Rajveer stated, "The audience does not know what they want. This is because the recent movies have a little bit of flavour of the 90s, and you can see that the public misses that so much. So it was an eye-opener for all of us."

Jr Deol shared his thoughts on Deols not getting their dues, "If I go out with my dad, or dada or chacha, people give them endless love. But yes, social media wise, PR wise of not being out there, that tends to get hidden, because we don't really promote that love on social media that much. But I do know that there is a big fanbase for my family out there." Rajveer, Paloma's Dono will be released in cinemas on October 5.
